Some visa applicants (the assurees) are required to obtain an Assurance of Support (AoS) before their visa application can be approved. An Australian resident who is referred to as the assurer may provide the AoS if certain criteria are satisfied.

One assurer can provide AoS for a maximum of 2 assurees at one time.
